Challenge

US benefit costs continue to rise and employees are looking for alternative ways to get holistic wellness support. With most of our team working remotely, mental health continues to be a focus area to allow our employees to bring their best self to work each day.

Actions

As a result, we have built a wellness program that supports mental, physical, and financial
wellbeing for our team and their families.

Mental support: we have implemented flex-time off policy which allows employees to take the time they need throughout the year to focus on their mental health and time with their families. In addition, we have expanded our parental bonding leave to allow new or adoptive parents to spend quality time in the first critical months. Lastly, we offer 24/7 unlimited counseling for all employees and their families at no cost to them.

Physical: Crayon launched a $5000 HRA which reimburses employees for expenses incurred due to cancer and/or infertility treatments. In addition, we’ve implemented a quarterly lifestyle spending account which allows employees to get reimbursed for wellness activities (gym, massage, and more).

Financial: Crayon offers financial and legal services to support employees throughout tax season and year around. In addition, we offer discounts through our workplace portal.

Outcomes

Our employees have been excited about these new offerings and have taken advantage of our holistic wellness program. As a result our recent employee satisfaction survey showed 85% favorable.
