Unconscious Bias Training for all Supervisors and Above

Challenge

Engage leaders in foundational unconscious bias training and offer opportunities for continued learning in a virtual instructor led setting.

Actions

Three unconscious bias related self-paced learnings were assigned and completed throughout 2021. Supplemental group identity discussions were offered quarterly to dig deeper into power and privilege in relation to individual group identities; including intersectionality.

Outcomes

The three offerings, Understanding Unconscious Bias, Overcoming Your Own Unconscious Bias, and Overcoming Unconscious Bias in the Workplace were completed at an average of 88%. To date, over 50 supervisors and managers have self-enrolled in the optional Group Identity conversations.
