Sr. Leadership Education

Challenge

Following a thorough assessment with an external partner, of our current equity and inclusion practices at Radial, we proceeded to define how we would lay the foundation to do better in the future.

Actions

A key component of this journey was education. As leadership support is critical to real behavior changes, Radial has started their education at the top. The Executive Leadership Team Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) workshop was a highly interactive event designed for the leader to experience key concepts of diversity and inclusion, build awareness and knowledge, and develop an understanding of the individual’s role as an executive leader in the DEI process. Following self-paced readings and activities, the workshop was delivered with our CEO as a co-facilitator, to our full ELT over an intense full-day session.

Outcomes

The ELT walked away with a deeper understanding of one another, the impacts of an environment that is not diverse and inclusive, and are committed to leading their teams through a similar workshop as we expand on our DE&I Education initiative.

Quote

Plenty of data proves that diversity within the organization leads to increase in profitability, efficiency, and productivity because it’s the array of thought that comes with diversity. When you have people of different backgrounds, mindsets and cultures, they look at situations differently. With diversity of thought in leadership comes innovation.  We must always be careful of “group think” by bringing on leaders with different experiences and perspectives to drive true creativity and benefit for our business.
