SBA Communications is committed to providing on-going learning and development to team members in an effort to deepen and expand their DEI knowledge. As part of this commitment, we needed to consider how to begin with our training as our team members are in different places in their journey with DEI.

In 2021, we launched a Foundations of DEI training module for all team members. The purpose of the initial training module was to cultivate a foundational understanding of DEI where participants understood the importance of our DEI Vision Statement and Mission. The training offered courageous discussions around some of the key terminology and how DEI comes to life in our workplace.

As of November 2021, SBA Communications has facilitated over 18 Foundations of DEI training opportunities. Team members were able to participate in DEI conversations through reflection and identifying challenges. We will continue our training opportunities for new hires and our internal markets in 2022.
