Neighborhood Allies created RISE HIGH (Resilient and Inclusive Solutions for Equity, Healing, Impact, Growth and Health), a voluntary Employee Resource Group that activates Neighborhood Allies’ core value of equity by cultivating a welcoming work culture that helps to attract and retain a diverse team of top tier talent. We foster a learning environment where fun and restoration are prioritized, diverse perspectives are respected, and new concepts are considered. Through RISE HIGH, intentional investments and opportunities are directed towards MWDBE firms and organizations, and we track the impact of these efforts. Our overarching aim is for Neighborhood Allies to be an exemplary embodiment of equity where we have the collective wherewithal, the cultural competence, and skills to address the rapidly changing and complex dynamics of community development.

Since the inception of RISE HIGH in 2020, we've made significant strides in advancing equity within our organization. We've revamped policies and procedures, conducted 15 comprehensive equity and mental health trainings for all staff, and transformed our vendor partnerships by allocating $1.37 million towards MWBE vendors in 2023 alone. As a result, our support to MWBE vendors has surged to encompass 55.67% of our total vendor network, fostering a more inclusive and impactful business ecosystem. Neighborhood Allies boldly leads the charge for equitable change, both within our organization and the communities we serve.
