COVID-19 Response at FCCI

Challenge

With the introduction and spread of COVID-19 in the U.S., FCCI Insurance Group was faced with the challenge of remaining open for business and continuing to provide exceptional service to our agents and policy holders while also protecting the health, safety and employment of our teammates.

Action

In March 2020, in accordance with the CDC and FCCl's guidelines set forth in our pre-established Business Continuity Management (BCM) program, we transitioned all employees to a work-from-home environment. Apart from a few dozen essential workers, all teammates immediately began working remotely. In support of this effort, FCCI:

• Ensured teammates had the necessary equipment (in many cases, provided) and technical support to perform their job remotely.
• Utilized multiple digital applications and virtual platforms that enabled the company to operate virtually. Increased communications with teammates through the use of regular company-wide updates and virtual Town Hall meetings conducted by the Chief Executive Officer.
• Increased electronic communications to teammates which included a work-from-home digital newsletter with tips and suggestions as well as COVID-19 resources encompassing CDC guidelines and recommendations.
• Provided teammates with webinars on strategies for stress relief such as Treading Water through the COVID 19 Storm, Minimizing Wor,y to Maximize Your Life, Mindful Eating, Self Care, Walk for Fitness, Relaxation Breathing and many others.
• Promoted the use of telemedicine in keeping with the CDC's recommendations for virtual care. All fees associated with those visits were waived.

Outcomes

Our priority has been and will continue to be the well-being and safety of our teammates, customers and the communities we serve. Through all the challenges related to COVID-19, FCCI Insurance Group put people first, and because of this FCCI emerged stronger and more unified.
