Medallia seeks to diversify our entry level talent pools and support non-traditional paths to careers in the technology industry.
Through a national partnership with Year Up, we place students in six-month entry-level internships, with the option to convert successful interns to full-time employment when the internship concludes. Year Up is a non-profit that helps low-income youth (18-24) to gain access to the economic mainstream. After a rigorous six month training program, Year Up works with partner companies to place students in entry level internships. Medallia began partnering with Year Up in 2017. We have campaigned internally to ensure managers across our US locations are aware of the program, and that interns have a successful onboarding. We are currently exploring ways to expand our partnership and bring in larger intern classes.
Medallia has hosted Year Up interns in our New York and California locations, across a wide range of departments and teams. We have been very happy with the talent, and have a high conversion rate, with 71% of our interns being offered a full time position.
