Providing work flexibility to parents of young children and pregnant members of our team.
We instituted a work schedule that allows members on our team who have young children or are pregnant to be able to fully participate in all affairs of the team without causing any undue mental or emotional burden on their personal wellbeing. This included shifting weekly team meetings and routine check-ins to a time that suited all team members; honoring autoreply messages at designated times to ensure open communication and transparency around team members’ personal needs; and celebrating team members identity as parents or t0-be-parents within the workplace.
Instituting these policies has made our team more efficient in their project completion and more caring for one another.
