We recognized that as a firm we’ve had challenges retaining women past senior manager.
It has been our mission via [email protected] to attract, retain and advance women leaders. The program is currently offered to women to help reduce the continued gender disparities in partnership and leadership positions.
At each office of Mazars USA, [email protected] Champions serve as local representatives of the program, facilitating aspects of the [email protected] strategy, such as Education and Awareness sessions in local offices.
Additionally, each year ten women participate in the Be Visible campaign. They share their individual personal leadership stories as well as the different aspects of visibility, such as: why it is critical, what type of visibility you need, and help others with their visibility.
The initial three years of [email protected] has brought new focus to the firm regarding the importance of a diverse leadership team, the need for intentional development of an inclusive partnership pipeline and has produced significant outcomes. More women are in leadership roles and have a robust future due to increased gender diversity and the ongoing culture shift. Progress was made with electing more women into the Firm’s partnership. The accounting and professional services sector has struggled to achieve diversity. Although we have programs at Mazars USA to support diversity in the workplace, there is still more we can do. I believe that it is important to set a tone at the top that our people are our first priority.
