At our 2020 Leadership event, only 10% of attendees were female (17/165). We identified a gap and opportunity to partner our female high potential talent with a more experienced female leader to support the Mentee with their development and improve their network within the organization.
In 2021 and 2022, we set up and ran a Mentoring program. Discussions occur at a frequency of one hour per month for a 12-month duration and the 2nd cohort is now underway with a further 18 pairings.
We plan to regularly check in with and gather feedback from participants of the 2nd cohort and look forward to growing the awareness of and participation in the program in future years.

The Excelitas mentorship program presents an invaluable opportunity for connecting people and building a stronger global support community. As a woman in tech, I faced many challenges navigating the business environment and I was fortunate to find mentors to help me build confidence and grow into an effective leader; I was excited to join the Excelitas program as a mentor to inspire, guide and give back. Listening to the perspectives and challenges of cross-organizational employees was refreshing and personally rewarding; I encourage everyone to embrace the opportunity and be authentic in sharing your experiences and knowledge to help others.
