Beacon is proud to employ over 175 Veterans and is committed to hiring and retaining military Veterans, Reservists and National Guard members, but we recognize that many Veterans who have served our country often face adversity in the years following their service. The hardships they endure include financial issues, unemployment, mental and physical health challenges, homelessness and so many more.

 As an exterior building products distributor, we brought to bear our specialty: a safe place to live. We launched Beacon of Hope  to give back to our Veterans who are in need of a basic necessity, a secure roof.  We hope to inspire our employees, customers, and communities to come together to help us in our efforts to provide our Vets with a Beacon of Hope.

Now in its second annual cycle, this contest runs via a public nomination process, followed by public voting for the ten finalist.  In the end, three deserving Veterans receive full roof replacements and an additional seven receive funding to support their roof project. Beacon of Hope allows us the privilege to provide a safe roof that the Veterans in our communities can be proud of and that will protect their family and their belongings.
