Challenge
Through our one team, unified approach to workplace strategy, design, and construction, we are uniquely positioned to help our clients drive impact across their employee engagement, diverse supplier, and customer ecosystems. A thriving Supplier Diversity program helps our business, and our clients address inequities by promoting an inclusive approach to procurement. Inclusive procurement creates access and opportunity for all and will make us more innovative, more competitive and make our company a better global citizen.
Actions:
We’ve formalized partnerships with subject matter expert agencies and organizations around the globe – such as NGLCC, WBENC, NMSDC, Disability:In, MSDUK, Supply Nation, Amotai and WeConnect International. We have set and are focused on accomplishing our Supplier Diversity goals while also supporting our clients’ goals as well.
Continued engagement to educate, equip and empower our procurement teams to drive more consistent and long-term relationships with diverse vendors. We are also focusing on project-specific outcomes.
Outcomes:
Partnerships: We have established and maintain partnerships with 7 agencies across the globe to support our efforts around Supplier Diversity best practices and vendor selections. We continue to build these relationships beyond the supply chain as
well. Our Chief Diversity Officer presents at numerous conferences alongside industry peers and partners, including, most recently a partnered keynote with our CEO at the NGLCC 2022 International Business and Leadership Conference.
Our partnerships with key agencies and organizations are more than logos on the page. These are relationships that we rely on to educate us, collaborate with us, and push us to know better and do better.
When I started at Unispace, I knew DEIB needed to be front and center to drive our transformation as a business. And we want to take that approach to our sector – construction is notoriously lagging in DEIB, so we are focused on how we can not only change Unispace but how to join forces with our peers to change our industry as well. Because we do business with so many vendors, a robust Supplier Diversity program is an important initiative for Unispace.
