Turn the Commonwealth Blue on 4/15 to Thank the Front Lines

Action

We are collectively calling for the community—from businesses to individual residents—to share gratitude for the front lines by lighting their buildings blue, displaying signs of gratitude in their homes and showing support online. We want to let the front lines know: “You are essential. We are grateful.” We’ll start by lighting the historic John Hancock weather beacon, Government Station, Zakim Bridge and City Hall blue. On One Boston Day, April 15th, a thank you flag will be placed on John Hancock’s 200 Berkeley Street building. The press release is available here for your reference.

Here's how you can help:

  • Light your building(s) blue (if possible), or post your own signs of gratitude with the message, “You are essential. We are grateful.”
  • Encourage your employees to join and help turn the Commonwealth blue by utilizing the downloadable assets available here, including printable signs for homes, frames for Facebook profile pictures, and more.
  • Share the campaign and your organization’s participation on social media. If it’s easier, you can also share or retweet our content on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, as we’ll be posting about the campaign all month.
