Strategic Talent Sourcing

Challenge:

As we look to expand our diverse talent recruitment efforts, the Talent Acquisition team recognizes the need for a renewed, dedicated process with focused educational, diverse association, and community partnerships. We will grow our diverse candidate pool through new and unique sources including our Workforce Development efforts.

Actions:

Developed an internal tracking mechanism to monitor progress on workforce development efforts. This including pulling data and results from localized workforce development efforts, talent acquisition events and results, and philanthropy programs such as scholarships. Created a governance structure to ensure the effectiveness and thoroughness of the data through a Workforce Development Community of Practice.

Outcomes:
  • Measure and identify conversion rates to full time employment
  • Identify ROI of programs
  • Establish database to stay in touch with interested individuals
  • Announcement of Constellation-wide efforts such as Constellation Scholars
  • Through community partnerships and training programs, track training program(s) enrollment and number of participants engagement, program graduates, job placement rates, and barrier reduced and/or wrap around support services provided to participants.
  • Measure engagement with educational partnerships through student engagement and on campus events, diverse association and campus investments, scholarship grants, scholar recipients conversion to intern and/or hire, and expanded Constellation presence within HBCU and Hispanic serving institutions.

Part of our commitment to accelerate the clean energy transition is growing our investment in the communities we serve and the talented young men and women who will help lead us toward a more sustainable future. We’re dedicated to bridging the educational and opportunity gaps that exist in our society and supporting the bright young minds who have the potential to become leaders in our industry and in STEM fields overall.
