Social Impact Forum

Challenge:

We acknowledge that significant concern, fear, anger, and many other emotions continue to carry weight in our lives due to the uncertainty of many everyday impacts, including decisions on women’s reproductive health and rights, increased gun and domestic violence, political turmoil and war, the loss of lives due to racism and injustice, the rise of homelessness and poverty, and so much more.

Actions:

To further elevate and expand DEI efforts, in September 2022, Cision launched Social Impact Forum to address the most critical social topics and provide a space for everyone at Cision to listen, learn, and make a difference. Through the Social Impact Forum, we partner with subject matter experts and organizations to create a safe space for conversation and action. As a leader in the PR, media, and marketing space, we have a responsibility to amplify accurate information to our stakeholders. First round of Social Impact Forum topics included conversations around women’s reproductive rights in the U.S., gun violence prevention in the city of Chicago, and the War in Ukraine.

Outcomes:

Employees were invited, on a global scale, to join the Social Impact Forum to openly discuss topics in a safe environment where they obtained accurate information and learned from trusted sources within those communities, on how to take action independently and become an ally to those who need it most.

Our diversity, equity, and inclusion strategy is framed on real-time actions and experiences that we take on a daily basis to promote inclusion at all levels. We are committed to our objective for all our associates to feel a sense of community and belonging, where our people can bring their authentic self to work and thrive.
