Reducing the Gender Pay Gap at Vantiva

Challenge:

At Vantiva, our long-lasting commitment to Diversity, Equity, and inclusion is an essential pillar to our corporate ethos. We are adamant about offering fairness for all our employees, and to do so, we consistently address issues that arise in our societies. Among these challenges is the Gender Pay Gap, a persisting concern of disparity between men and women across numerous industries.

Over the past many years, Vantiva has initiated a series of transformative actions to correct the gender pay gap within our company. The result, which fills us with immense pride, is a testament to our constant commitment to creating a fair and inclusive workplace for all.

Actions:

Gender Pay Gap Budget

To address the gender pay gap in certain counties in which Vantiva operates, we have created a dedicated Gender Pay Gap Budget. This budget has been an important tool in our mission to rebalance the pay of our female employees, ensuring that their earnings align with their male colleagues who perform similar roles, In France, for example, the budget and its allocation is shared with our Work Council to ensure full transparency and operational efficiency.

Annual Benefits Analysis

Every year, our Human Resources team analyses all job categories to identify potential pay differences. If imbalances are found, we trigger corrective actions through our HR processes, such as our annual salary review and/or our dedicated Gender Pay Gap Budget.

Fixed Hiring and Promotion Salary Ranges

In our commitment to ensuring that we fairly compensate all employees for their respective roles within the company, we introduced fixed salary ranges for new hires and promotions. These salary ranges have been essential to guarantee that no employee is underpaid when joining our company for advancing in their career.

Hybrid Work

Acknowledging the rising need for flexibility in our working environments, we introduced hybrid working for all eligible/remote-capable jobs. This initiative has helped to boost the diversity of our workforce and improve their financial well-being and work/life balance, regardless of gender. Hybrid work also provides greater opportunities for individuals who might not otherwise have the availability to engage in full-time employment.

Monitoring Gender Balance in Management Positions

Vantiva maintains a close watch on the gender balance within our management roles. Our goal is not only to achieve a more balanced representation of both genders but to ensure fair opportunities and compensation to all. To this end, we monitor the number of females in management positions and provide additional training and support to empower employees with a drive to advance within the management hierarchy.

Outcomes:

Through implementing these strategic actions, ongoing analysis, and vigilant monitoring, Vantiva hs remarkably reduced the Gender Pay Gap. As of October 2023, the pay gap has fallen to just 1%. This achievement reflects our unwavering commitment to creating a company culture that provides fair opportunities for all employees, regardless of their gender.
