Recruiting Diverse Talent at ICONMA, L.L.C.

Challenge

As a certified Woman-Owned Business, ICONMA is committed to hiring diverse candidates for our client programs and our internal corporate workforce. However, we recognize that to reach our client and internal diverse hiring goals, we must improve our organization's recruitment practices.

Over the last year, our focus has been to develop and implement recruitment strategies that allow ICONMA to provide a link between workforce diversity and the pool of diverse candidates searching for an opportunity to perform to their full potential.

Actions
  1. The Professional Diversity Network: ICONMA became a member of The Professional Diversity Network, which allows access to 16 diverse job boards, which assists us in expanding our reach to various diverse organizations and candidates.

    Diversity focused job boards through ICONMA's membership with the Professional Diversity Network: Asian Career Network, Black Career Network, Commonwealth Company Career Center, EBONY Career Center, Greek Diversity, iHispano, ITDiversity Career Center, Military 2 Career, NAACP Job Finder, NUL Jobs Network, Out Professional Network, Pro Able, Tech Latino, TheGrio, Veterans Exchange Career Center, Women's Career Central.

  2. Local Community Outreach: The ICONMA team has immersed ourselves in our local communities. We have become acquainted with diverse local organizations by joining networking groups and attending diversity-focused events across the United States. 

  3. Referral Program: ICONMA's corporate team consists of a diverse group of individuals, which is why we strongly encourage referrals.

    We have found diverse candidates, connect to a diverse network! Asking for referrals allows our existing employees to expand ICONMA's reach to diverse communities.
