Reaffirming Vi’s Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Challenge

After the senseless death of George Floyd, Vi’s Executive Management Team and Board of Directors, Vi felt compelled to condemn violence and hate and reaffirm our ongoing commitment to be a great place to work for ALL employees. We recognize that only by interacting with, and listening to people of all races, backgrounds, ethnicities, sexual orientation, and abilities we can hope to truly understand and appreciate one another.

Actions

Based on an overwhelmingly level of participation, the following philanthropic organizations were selected for donations based on employee input:

  • The Equal Justice Initiative
  • The Trevor Project
  • My Brother’s Keeper
Quote

While this effort is obviously not a solution to longstanding systemic inequalities and discrimination many of our family members, friends, and team members have faced over the years, we believe it represents a positive step in the march towards a more just society.
