ProEquities Partnership with The W Source

Challenge

ProEquities, an independent financial advisory and brokerage firm and subsidiary of Protective Life Corporation, saw a need to expand networking opportunities for women financial advisors.

Actions

In February 2019, ProEquities announced a partnership with The W Source to expand professional networking and business coaching resources for its women financial advisors. The W Source facilitates the formation of local networking groups encompassing 20-25 members, representing female business professionals across adjacent industries who meet monthly to share knowledge, communicate best practices and potentially generate referrals and other new business opportunities. The W Source provides each group leader, the chapter head, with a  collection of proprietary resources and tools, as well as customized coaching, to help guide their efforts. Under this new partnership, ProEquitiesaffiliated women advisors are now able to form and lead their own groups. The partnership complements the mission of the  ProEquities Women’s Networking Forum, which offers a forum, both inperson and virtual, to discuss a wide range of practice management topics – such as client acquisition, retention and succession planning.

Outcomes

Since its inception, a number of women have participated in networking groups with The W Source. Additionally, the partnership enabled ProEquities to introduce new women advisor-focused professional education and development tracks at its annual national conference, APEX.
