Partnerships with organizations Promoting Inclusion, Equality, and Acceptance around the World

Challenge

Build and strengthen community relationships in an effort to reinvest in and support historically marginalized populations.

Actions

We understand that as a global company, we have the ability to affect the welfare of people in a powerful way. We accept that challenge and support a number of organizations through partnerships and sponsorships to make a greater impact in our global communities for diversity and inclusion. From worthwhile charities to the excitement of premier sports and entertainment properties, the mission and the message of Gallagher are on display through partnerships. As an official partner of the National Center for Civil and Human Rights, Gallagher supports the museum and cultural institution that connects the U.S. Civil Rights Movement to human rights challenges today. Additionally, as a Platinum Partner of Special Olympics International and official sponsor of Special Olympics Sport and Coach Programming, we help ensure that over five million athletes with intellectual disabilities have access to the highest-quality coaching, training and sports experiences. We are proud to be the official title partner of Premiership Rugby in the UK, we continue to support Project Rugby, championing the development of young people through the game, with a focus on women, minorities and individuals with disabilities. We continually work to enhance and expand community partnerships with organizations that support our diverse communities.

Outcomes

The Gallagher Way encourages employees to support one another – regardless of our differences and encourages us to look for ways to increase our involvement in our communities.

The whole idea of an inclusive culture is about bringing different perspectives around the table to better serve our clients.  If we only listen to handful of perspectives, we’re just not going to do as well.  I personally, am very involved in making sure that what we do as an organization is focused on this.  Every single chance we get, we should include the opportunity to become even more inclusive as an organization.

For us, the CEO Action for Inclusion pledge provides us an opportunity to align with and learn from other organizations working to bring about similar change. At the end of the day, it’s our people that make a difference for our clients, the communities we work in and the lives of millions of people who put their trust in us.
