Introducing respect for cultural differences across our corporation to build awareness and a more inclusive environment.

Actions

In 2020, MDU Resources Group, Inc. embarked on a formalized journey to focus on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) across our businesses. In 2021, our communications team, along with human resources, began monthly communications to focus on the diversity of cultures represented across our teams. Additionally, we produced an in­house video of team members speaking about the significance of cultural awareness across our companies, which was distributed to all employees.

Outcomes

These communications have prompted conversations across the organization and feedback has encouraged us to continue to grow the program. Additionally, we are regularly engaging in DEi conversations with our Board of Directors and reporting to both the Environmental & Sustainability Committee and Compensation Committee on goals, progress, and next steps.
