Mentoring Program

Challenge

At GW&K, we have long had an open door policy, and have encouraged any employee to approach any other employee, including the CEO, for questions or guidance about their career at GW&K or in our industry. The challenge that we observed is that it's hard for some employees, especially more junior employees, to feel comfortable taking the initiative to do this.

Actions

As part of our D&I efforts, and based on positive feedback we received in an employee survey, we created and launched a Mentoring Program.

Outcomes

We started with 22 pairs of mentors/mentees that we matched together, which includes nearly one-third of our employee base. We have received very positive feedback so far, and we plan to launch our next round of Mentoring pairs shortly, to provide the opportunity for more of our colleagues to participate.
