Studies have proven that everyone has bias, and the first step to impacting unconscious bias is awareness.
Investcorp is launching an online training platform covering the main training modules needed to jumpstart awareness (Minus the Bias, Cultural Connector, Knowing me Knowing you, one of us and the incrowd) from this we will then move to workshops for all Leaders and those with teams to further understand the gaps and how we can resolve them. The workshops will help further enhance the culture we are trying to grow and helps recognize the micro-inequities we have. Awareness is Key
This is a currently ongoing project, but as of March 2020 Investcorp has created a Diversity and Inclusion Strategy to ensure the firm is all aware and on board with the consistent improvements we will be launching.
Having a diverse workforce translates into more thought-provoking discussions, better decisions and strengthens our ability to innovate. We must celebrate and recognize our similarities and differences to create an inclusive environment where everyone is empowered to do their best. I believe business leaders have a responsibility to our people and communities to advance diversity and inclusion. Not only does this lead to better functioning organizations and markets but it benefits society as a whole. That is why I am proud to join the CEO Action for Inclusion pledge.
