We launched leadership development programs to identify and nurture global leaders, who can bring valuable insights, creativity, and innovation back to Wiley. We also have programs to discuss how to be an inclusive manager and foster a sense of belonging across our teams.
We have developed Inclusion Excellence learning for Wiley leaders. We held a leadership training on “managing teams during difficult times” and plan to continue offering this and other learning opportunities. We also hosted the event “Managing diverse teams in a politically polarizing time” with an invited guest speaker, which 150+ Wiley leaders attended.
Additionally, as part of Wiley’s commitment to developing colleagues from all backgrounds to grow and advance their careers, we sponsored colleagues in two McKinsey leadership development programs for Asian, Black and Hispanic/Latino professionals. We also enrolled colleagues in the Academy’s Leadership Essentials Program for early-career leaders.
We launched the Women in Leadership Global Certificate Program through e-Cornell University. This certificate program examines the issues facing women in leadership and offers strategies for success and growth through both individual skills building and a cohort learning approach.
We had colleagues from across our organization complete these programs and bring valuable learnings back to their teams.
