Inclusion Education and Training at Paychex

Challenge

The Paychex Inclusion and Diversity Training is a four-part series that introduces and explores DEI. Completion of the curriculum demonstrates the company’s commitment to DEI. The Leadership Discussion Guide is designed as a resource for leaders to engage in self-reflection, assessment, and communication to their teams. An employee development worksheet complements the Leadership Discussion Guide to help employees prepare for the conversation. In addition, Paychex Development University (Dev U) offers access to various learning resources through Percipio, Cornerstone, and other software around DEI topics such as microaggressions, biases, stereotypes, difficult conversations, and more. Training around I&D is accompanied with DEI panels, discussions and book clubs led by employees within the DEI Community. In addition, Paychex provides client training through Paychex our Paychex training seminar titled `Valuing Diversity in the Workplace.’

Actions

Our Inclusion & Diversity Training is built around intentional inclusion. All Paychex employees participate in an innovative, interactive Diversity & Inclusion Awareness training & Unconscious Bias training.

Outcomes

We know that Inclusion & Diversity Training is the first step in creating awareness. Our employees are more aware of behaviors that support Paychex’s culture and values.
