Inclusion Education and Training at Haskell

Challenge

As Haskell steadily builds on our diversity and inclusion foundation, it is essential to continue to enhance Diversity&. Inclusion (D&I) awareness enterprise wide to achieve Haskell's 2025 Vision Plan. This enhancement will include providing additional resources, information and exciting learning opportunities into 2021.

Actions

Haskell's D&I education program has several components which are based on our Company values of Team, Excellence, Service & Trust. Our initial D&I offerings focused on respect in the workplace, generational differences and recognizing individuals' experience and education. We continue to enhance our learning and development opportunities to encompass the following:

  • Brief trainings/Micro e-learnings that are 12 - 20 minutes in length which are offered through our Haskell University platform focusing on Unconscious bias. Sample class offerings include but are not limited to: Micro-Aggressions, standing up to Bullying, Preventing Workplace Harassment, Unconscious Bias, etc.

  • Facilitated in-person learnings

  • Informational videos less than 5 minutes or those that would be more of a "public forum" that are readily available online (i.e. Ted Talks, video snippets)

  • Monthly D&I information sent out through Haskell Matters (Haskell's weekly newsletter) focusing on creating awareness of Multicultural Holidays and the Ethnic Inclusion Calendar

  • Announcements specific to the Company's 2025 Diversity pillar as well as general D&I messaging from our CEO

  • Info pages from resources, National Diversity Council or local diversity councils

  • D&I messages and announcements from Haskell's Inclusion Matters Diversity Council team
Outcomes

We will continue our focus on learning and development by continuing to offer engaging and informative learning opportunities to all team members. We continually ask for feedback at the end of each respective training opportunity which has been overwhelmingly positive. Additionally, we will continue to review and identify other similar entities which aligns with our Company vision and goals.
