IDEA Governance Framework + Strategy Definition

Challenge

At Kin + Carta, we exist to make the world work better for everyone through our commitment to Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Awareness. Inclusion & Diversity has been a focus across the Connective for many years, with each business leading their own programmes to support underrepresented community groups such as LGBT+, women, people of colour, parents and more. This year we’ve come together as a Connective to develop a D+I programme in order to drive meaningful change across the group. This is our IDEA programme, inclusion, diversity, equity and awareness.

Actions

Throughout the last few months we have created an IDEA Strategy Action Plan which directly supports our BHAG (Big Hairy Audacious Goal) to be a responsible triple bottom line business balancing People, Profit, & Planet. Alongside this we have implemented an IDEA Framework which draws together the IDEA vision and guiding ambitions of the Connective, setting out how they align with our codes of conduct, policies and IDEA Strategy Action Plan. This framework promotes an equitable approach to IDEA, seeking to identify and change the structures and systems that provide barriers and limit the potential of some.

Outcomes

We pledge to seek out diverse perspectives, celebrate differences, and build a culture where everyone is empowered to bring their authentic self to work. We believe in using our platform and resources to break down structural inequality. We vow to be a force for good both within the Connective and throughout our local communities.

We are continuously improving the framework and structure we have created and seek to make IDEA a part of Kin and Carta’s DNA.
