Actions
The Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati is committed to developing partnerships within our community, providing coaching and development opportunities, and educating our partners on the FHLBank System. The Bank is an active participant in Central State University’s (HBCU) Summer Banking Institute, which provides the opportunity for the members of the Leadership Team to facilitate educational sessions and select students for internship opportunities.
Additionally, we have committed to remaining connected within our community to identify outreach opportunities that are geared towards creating positive and meaningful relationships with FHLB Cincinnati. Our participation in community outreach activities will support our efforts to increase women and minority hiring and community involvement.
Outcomes
In 2019, four students were selected from Central State University’s Summer Banking Institute to participate in a summer internship at the Bank. The Bank has committed to partnering with the university and providing summer internships on a go forward basis. We also connected with other local colleges and universities, high schools, and other non-profit organization to participate in 14 outreach activities to include Diversity Leadership Roundtables, Regional Women’s Summit, Adopt-A-Class, and The YWCA Career Women of Achievement.
