Global Diversity Calendar
Challenge
Nordson has an extensive global reach with locations in over 40 countries. Because of this diversity, we identified the need for a resource to educate our employees on global celebrations, holidays and national days of importance.
Actions
Through the work of an Inclusion Council, we secured an Outlook-integrated "diversity calendar.” This is designed to support employees' efforts to remain mindful and learn more about the celebrations their colleagues may be observing, including those based on geography, religion, ethnicity and more. To use the tool, employees can visit their normal calendar view in Outlook. We encourage employees to reference the calendar when scheduling meetings with global teammates.
Outcomes
This tool has increased our awareness of our colleagues’ celebrations and has made us all more globally aware.
