Challenge

We understand the value that women at FD bring to our firm. We are committed to ensuring that they feel supported and have the necessary tools to navigate their career path. With this commitment, we have to create opportunities for people to understand and account for the challenges that some women face in the workplace.

Actions

The DEI Book Club facilitated a discussion around My Own Words: Ruth Bader Ginsburg by Ruth B Ginsburg. It discusses gender equality, her Jewish background and her path to become a judge on the Supreme Court.

We have hosted multiple Women in Business panels for the firm that are focused on empowering and supporting the women of FD while creating spaces for people to connect with the leaders in the firm. The women in business learning sessions are also opportunities for women to ask questions about professional development and share personal experiences.

Outcomes

Over the years, we have made impactful adjustments at the firm as it relates to women in the workplace. For Women’s History Month, some amazing women shared their experience at FD and how they have felt supported. We thought that it was important for people to know that women at all levels are respected and viewed as strong contributors to our firm.
