First Week of Understanding for All Employees

Dedicated time and space for conversations and learning that promote understanding.
Actions
Sonoco hosted its first Week of Understanding in early 2021. Educational materials were created by the CEO Action for Diversity and Inclusion and were presented by Sonoco’s own Business Resource Groups. Topics ranged from bias & inclusion, to diversity facts and statistics.
Outcomes
More than 1,400 employees participated in the events which were designed to foster personal growth and conversations centered on diversity and inclusion.
