Developing a globally applicable analysis to demonstrate the business case for gender equity.
The EY network is committed to building an inclusive workplace culture which takes deliberate action to equitably develop and sponsor women at our organization and in the marketplace. Our commitment to women’s advancement goes well beyond its own four walls. In 2016, EY and the Peterson Institute for International Economics revealed research which showed that having more female leaders in business can significantly increase profitability. The extraordinary survey of 21,980 publicly traded companies in 91 countries demonstrates that the presence of more female leaders in top positions of corporate management correlates with increased profitability of these companies.
The gender study has garnered significant interest in the marketplace (over 866 million media impressions) and has been cited widely in the ongoing dialogue about gender equity.
