We enhanced and expanded our requirements, expectations and communications regarding focusing on diversity in hiring. These efforts have included communicating our Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging expectations and Mission Statement to our internal and external recruiters, hiring managers and candidates. We have also become more deliberate in what we require for our candidate slates.

Outcomes

We are seeing our leaders and hiring managers actively engage in the increased focus on diversity in our hiring efforts. They are listening thoughtfully, asking questions about enhancing diversity and being demanding of our internal and external recruiters when it comes to diverse candidates. We are seeing the initial stages of an important shift from an HR/Corporate “push” for diversity in the hiring process to more of a “pull” from leaders and managers who understand the need and value diverse teams and voices bring to the table.
