Empowering Jamf ERGs: Catalysts for Inclusion & Belonging

Challenge:

Redefining the employee experience to enhance the well-being of underrepresented employees can pose a challenge for global organizations like Jamf, and their employees. Underrepresented employees often navigate obstacles that shape their experiences and achievements within the organizational context. One such challenge is the struggle to be their authentic selves and enhance their feelings of inclusion and belonging which can result in reduced engagement, limited opportunities for growth, and a diminished sense of overall well-being.

Actions:

Approximately four years ago, Jamf's executive leadership team collaborated with employees, representing underrepresented communities, to gain an understanding of their employee experiences and perspectives. Through these conversations, an exciting opportunity emerged - the creation of the Jamf Employee Resource Groups.

Our Jamf ERGs are employer-recognized inclusion communities led by employees with direct support from Jamfs executive leadership team. They are unified by shared identities, common experiences, and/or backgrounds, and the goal of creating an inclusive environment where all employees can flourish and express their authentic selves. Jamf ERGs lead initiatives designed to celebrate cultural enrichment and awareness, enhance networking, mentoring and professional development, as well as community outreach and volunteering opportunities.

Outcomes:

To date, we have grown to seven thriving Jamf Employee Resource Groups. Together, they serve as a safe space for open and courageous dialogue on topics that hold significant importance to our lives, our work, and our organization. As a result, Jamf ERGs have created a powerful platform supporting engagement, development, and dialogue acting as champions for positive change, and further reinforcing our Jamf values of Selflessness and Relentless Self - improvement. ln pursuit of this goal, we achieved an impressive employee engagement score of 82% favorability and exceeded 80% favorability in our commitment to amplifliing diverse perspectives and facilitating the success of individuals from all backgrounds.

Jamf ERGs are not only a testament to our commitment to diversity and inclusion but also a supporting catalyst for driving meaningful change from a leadership perspective. At Jamf, by empowering employees to form ERGs, we create spaces for collaboration, support, and innovation. ERGs provide invaluable insights, foster cultural understanding, and cultivate leaders who champion diversity, leading to a more inclusive and successful organization.
