Employee Resource Groups at Wiley

Challenge

To create a more inclusive and empowered culture that goes even further to enable Wiley global colleagues to drive impact for within our communities.

Actions

We expanded our employee resource groups to build community, celebrate culture, and advocate for our diverse communities. Employee resource groups (ERGs) are the voice of our global colleagues and now reflect more of our cultural communities and common interests. We designed a new ERG governance framework and added more chapters around the globe. Each year, we cultivate new ERGs that embrace even more dimensions of diversity and inclusion. Recently, we launched the ERG Champions program, which matches executive and senior leaders with ERGs to serve as mentors, allies, and advocates for the ERG communities.  Wiley has 10 ERGs and we continue to grow.

Outcomes

Our global ERGs continue fostering our innovative and strong values-based culture – driven by the passion of our global colleagues – to bring our business and mission forward. They play an integral advisory role for our Enterprise Diversity Committee as we strive to make Wiley a more diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace.
