Diversity Guild

Challenge

Provide employees a safe place to discuss diversity and answer questions by colleagues, as well as to bring people together from across the team to support policies and programs that improve inclusivity at Transparent.

Actions

The company rolled out the Diversity Guild at a town hall meeting on diversity and inclusivity, and now supports an online forum open to everyone in the company. The group convened a second meeting to discuss results from an in-depth analysis of the company’s recruiting and hiring practices. Future work will center on rolling out new policies and sponsoring company-wide training and awareness.

Outcomes

Members of the Diversity Guild engaged with people across the company to help bring context and meaning to the many events and protests taking place in the communities where our employees live and work. The group also brought about changes in future recruiting practices aimed at improving the diversity of our workforce.
