Diversity Distinction in PR Awards
Challenge
We must find a way to better recognize the great work that is being done in our industry that is enabling and promoting diversity.
Actions
The PR Council’s (PRC) Diversity Distinction in PR Awards reward and recognize individuals and organizations that play a key role in facilitating the recruitment, retention, and promotion of diverse PR practitioners. They similarly support and inspire professionals of diverse backgrounds, as well as those who strive to encourage and strengthen diversity and inclusion across the PR workforce. 2018 marks the 8th annual awards dinner, which will be hosted in New York City on September 27th.
Over 200 top industry leaders attend these awards every year, many of whom submit entries to
be considered.
Outcomes
Last year’s award categories included Best PR Firm Diversity Initiative ($100 million or more in revenue and less than $100 million in revenue); Best In-House Diversity Initiative; Best Campaign by A Diverse and Inclusive Team; Outstanding Young Professional; Diversity Champion – PR Agency; and Diversity Champion – In-House.
