The one unifying belief of the 2020 election season was people feeling their voices were not being represented or have been muted. DI’s goal was to make sure people had a chance to vote for their voice by holding a voter’s registration on site.

Volunteers assist employees with checking their registration status, obtain polling location information as well as review sample ballots. Assisted with mail-in ballot requests to further encourage participation and reduce any fears due to the pandemic, inclimate weather or long wait times because of decreased polling locations .

Initial feedback was gratitude for making information accessible and clear despite a malaise of confusing information across most news and social channels. We were pleased to register first time voters including persons who recently became U.S. citizens.
