Demonstrate a willingness to evolve our perspective about diversity, inclusion in order to grow our acceptance of cultural differences and perspectives and enhance our cultural richness and creativity.

Actions
  1. Diversity Dialogues: featuring topics of Gender Equality & Equity; LGBTQ+ Allyship featuring GLSEN; Intersectionality and Implicit Bias

  2. Implicit Bias Training: led by outside resource to open internal dialogue and bring awareness to the behaviors, actions and language that unconsciously influence collaboration, decision-making and inclusivity.

  3. D+I Book Club: featuring selections that reviewed white privilege, how to be anti-racist, Black Lives Matter and allyship

  4. Intranet Resources: featuring resources around the topics outlined above as well as additional resources for employees including Suicide Prevention, LGBTQIA+ Education, Black Lives Matter Allyship and LatinX Allyship.
Outcomes

Witnessed more open dialogue and curiosity about the systemic impact lack of acceptance has had on persons from diverse backgrounds as well as more people willing to publicly show their support, curiosity and activism not only person to person, but also on social media channels. We believe you can’t address what you don’t talk about.
