Dignity & Respect Internal Micro-Grants

Challenge

Half of our employees work in Branch Offices. Most of our diversity and inclusion programming and activities occur at the Home Office. The challenge was to better include the field locations.

Actions

The creation of Dignity & Respect Internal Micro-Grants (D&R Grants). Branch Offices have the opportunity to submit proposals for funding activities, materials, events and programs that promote a diverse and inclusive workplace. They must include at least 3 employees, have an educational component and be tied to one of thirty dignity and respect tips.

Outcomes

There have been numerous events held throughout our footprint ranging from LGBT Pride events and International Women’s Day to Juneteenth events and cultural awareness cookbooks. Our overall Inclusion Index score key performance indicators have also risen.
