DEI Toolkits and Guides

Challenge

Taking actions to be more inclusive can benefit leaders as well as their teams and the organization. Leaders and colleagues often times don’t know how to engage in dialogue or where to find resources.

Actions

We provided our leaders with inclusive discussion guides and toolkits to facilitate DEI conversations with their direct reports and colleagues. The Race Toolkit is a combination of articles, videos, books and other resources for people leaders and colleagues to reference to support their conversations with team members or their individual learning exploration.   The Inclusion Circles Facilitators Guide is designed for people leaders to initiate group or one-on-one conversations with their teams as they deem necessary. It outlines a framework to have productive and culturally competent conversations on a number of topics.   

The resources in the toolkits were curated to assist our colleagues with building their acumen of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) concepts and continue on the journey of self-awareness.  These toolkits and guides live on our DEI intranet page and toolkits for people leaders are located in the intranet manager hub for ease of access.

Outcomes

The guides and toolkits have been a catalyst for many colleagues to share personal stories about their work and personal experiences.  They have been able to learn more about themselves and challenged assumptions and longstanding beliefs through dialogue with leaders and colleagues. We continue to see increased excitement and engagement in building a conscious culture of inclusion from our colleagues and our people leaders.
