Equitable opportunity motivates employees to succeed and enhances their ability to shine and receive recognition. It improves organizational performance, increases retention, and helps us recruit top talent. Our DEI assessment as well as our pulse surveys revealed that our Ensemble did not feel that their career opportunities were equitable largely due to lack of communication around the processes. Additional feedback uncovered the need for a formal talent development strategy that outlined expectations for all employees. Our employees need to understand the processes and the leadership teams intentions to trust that the processes are equitable.

DEI is critical to us; it is a big part of our company purpose - to not only bring diverse perspectives together to better solve problems but also inspire other companies to do the same. We know this is a journey, we know we need to keep learning and growing, and we know we need to be purposeful and intentional to keep improving. We joined this CEO pledge as one part of our efforts to keep learning and growing along with our fellow business leaders. By sharing our challenges and ideas with other organizations, we can all be better together.
