We recognize that in order to best serve our diverse set of consumers, our employee base should mirror this diversity and understand a variety of viewpoints on inclusion and diversity. We designed a CEO speaker series to share both internal and external perspectives and insights with our employees.
We created the CEO Series, inviting chief executives across various sectors, including myself, to engage in fireside chats on inclusion and diversity with Clorox employees. Through this series, we were able to create a trusting environment where employees would feel comfortable and empowered to have I&D-related discussions. The engagement of CEOs — who volunteered their time to lead these discussions — confirms the importance of I&D while showcasing the business community’s shared responsibility and commitment.
Early feedback from employees and CEOs is that this initiative has been very informative and inspiring. Employees value this forum for its courageous conversations.
The CEO Action for Inclusion pledge reaffirms my commitment to inclusion and diversity. To fulfill our mission to make everyday life better, every day, we really count on the value that comes from hearing different perspectives from employees. Engaging all our people to bring their whole selves to work, every day, makes their work more fulfilling and makes us stronger as a company.
