We recognized a need to increase the visibility and promotion opportunities of strong female and underrepresented talent across the organization to accelerate their career advancement at HP.
Catalyst@HP is a sponsorship program for women and underrepresented populations aimed to increase their representation in technical and leadership roles at HP.
Participants (referred to a “Protégés”) are nominated and selected from across the organization and partnered with senior-level executives who serve as their Sponsors. Sponsors are committed to the career advancement of their Protégés.
With support of their Sponsors, Protégés complete an 18-month program focused on learning and development opportunities to help them develop key skills for growth and gain exposure across HP’s senior leadership.
Protégés work with their Sponsors to develop a clear development plan that includes a combination of 1:1 coaching and mentoring, peer coaching, hands-on practice opportunities, learning communities with other program participants to enable knowledge sharing, and monthly learning sessions to promote skill building.
Since first launching the program, we have seen 78 percent of Protégés promoted or moving into new positions in the organization.
