Lack of Diversity of Board of Directors.
As we were presented with the opportunity to replace a number of board members, we committed to filling the newly opened seat with diverse candidates. We worked with a recruiter to identify diverse candidates.
We had an 11 member board who were all white, primarily male (9 men, two women). As we moved through the process of replacing open board seats we were able to add two additional women and one African American male. We will continue our efforts toward diversifying our board membership as opportunities are created.

Diversity and Inclusion are at the core of Meredith’s values, and it is a priority that we foster a work environment where every single employee feels welcomed and valued. It’s also important our culture, activities and priorities reflect the lifestyles, cultures and backgrounds of our employees and the audiences we serve. While we’ve made great strides in this area, we acknowledge there is much more to be done.
