Board Engagement at The Corn Refiners Association (CRA)

Challenge

The Corn Refiners Association (CRA) leadership, staff and members felt strongly that given the events of the summer of 2020 that our industry could do more to address Diversity and Inclusion (DNI).

Actions

In November 2020 the CRA Board of Directors approved a new Values Statement and Action plan for the organization. The Statement details how CRA will strive to be voice and convener for DNI in the food and agriculture sectors.

Outcomeas

Our plan details how CRA will work to develop investment opportunities to promote DNI, how CRA will evaluate and strengthen our own policies and procedures for diversity, that CRA will facilitate best practices for DNI among our member companies, and that CRA will work to increase diversity in our industry’s work force through partnerships, scholarships and our intern program.
