Display The AZEK Company’s commitment to a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace by beginning at the highest levels of the organization.
Our success is fueled by the ideas and dedication of our team and we are committed to providing a diverse, equitable and inclusive environment where diversity of all kinds is sought out, valued, respected and appreciated. As a part of this commitment to DE&I, our CEO, Jesse Singh, and the leadership team at The AZEK Company understood that the highest levels of the organization should reflect the communities in which we live and work.
In 2020, The AZEK Company became a pledge partner to The Board Challenge, which encourages participating organizations to commit to board diversity and add at least one Black director to the Board within 12 months of signing the pledge.
In 2020, The AZEK Company appointed our first Black Director, Fumbi Chima, to the Board. Of joining the Board, Ms. Chima said, “AZEK is a leader in the space and I look forward to guiding the Company’s ongoing growth as consumers accelerate investment in their outdoor living spaces. I am also pleased to be AZEK’s first Black board member, a feat that not only fulfills AZEK’s recent commitment to The Board Challenge, but also continues the fight to improve representation of people of color in corporate U.S. boardrooms.”
Additionally, with the 2021 addition of Natashi Li to our Board, we now have three women on our board. Overall, women and ethnically diverse directors represent approximately 45% of our board of directors. The board continues to drive representation by interviewing diverse candidates for Board positions.
We have long been committed to cultivating a diverse and inclusive culture across the AZEK organization, and it starts at the highest level of the organization, AZEK’s Board of Directors. Companies like AZEK have an important role to play in advancing a more diverse, inclusive, just and sustainable future. We hope that others are similarly inspired to take action.
