Board and C-Suite Gender Diversity

Challenge

Recognizing that gender diversity within an organization spurs greater innovation, revenue growth and strategic-critical thinking Best Buy was thoughtful to make sure the best talent available was selected for Board and C Suite leadership roles.

Actions
  • Best Buy's CEO and Board of Directors set a clear goal to improve gender diversity in our open Board positions and when C-Suite positions opened
  • Searches for talent included our existing employee base and through an expanded search process for external talent.
Outcomes

Best Buy currently has a Board of Directors that is 40% female and 50% of the CEO's direct reports are women.
