To attract more diverse talent that better reflects the diversity of our learners.

Actions

At Southern New Hampshire University, we are committed to attracting, developing, empowering, and retaining world class talent to deliver on our mission. We seek to have our world class talent reflect the diversity of our learners.

We assessed regional and national demographic data and recognized an opportunity to attract more diverse talent to our job openings. In reviewing the demographic data, we also recognized an opportunity to attract more diverse managerial talent to our job openings.

In an effort to better communicate our commitment to diversity and inclusion, we established job boards that target diverse populations in which we could share our mission and values across diverse and inclusive networks. In addition, we committed to posting all of Southern New Hampshire University’s job openings to diverse and inclusive job boards to expand the diversity of our talent pool. We value diversity and inclusion in the workplace and are dedicated to networking, recruiting and hiring talent from all diversity groups.

Outcomes

We increased the diversity of our talent pool by 3% and increased the diversity of our managerial talent pool by 8% from the previous year. We have been recognized as a Top Diversity Employer for 2020 for our dedication and commitment to building a diverse workforce and culture.
