While our Inclusion & Diversity team is based in the United States, we have developed a global strategy to ensure all associates benefits, no matter where they work.
To further advance VF’s inclusion and diversity, we’ve taken the next step to expand the Executive Inclusion & Diversity Council, a group that guides our actions globally as we continue to build and maintain a highly inclusive culture that celebrates diversity of our associates. With the recent launch of the APAC Inclusion & Diversity Council (AIDC), we are able to mobilize local efforts in the Asia-Pacific region, a key focus area of our strategic growth. This effort will also enable VF to be the employer of choice in Asia and attract talent.
Since its launch, the AIDC has focused on nurturing a culture of workplace inclusion by aligning inclusion and diversity to VF’s purpose within the region. The council is sponsor-led by the APAC Group President and the VP, Human Resources, and includes members from multiple countries to provide diverse thoughts on how to win in the multicultural marketplace. There also is equal representation of men and women on the council to champion gender equity in leadership. The council has developed its FY’20 I&D action plan set to launch on April 1, 2019.
